HOW TO USE LED THERAPY ON HORSES

OVERALL MAINTENANCE
Start with the nose, ears and pole for about 1 minute in each area. These
acupressure points will stimulate all of the organs.
Take the LED and slowly drag it down the spine starting at the pole and going
to the tail.
Then go from the throat, down under the belly and to the back end.
(If at any time the horse reacts by stomping or turning around and looking at
you, you know you have an area that needs to be worked on longer.)
Sweep from each shoulder to the rear end or the stifle area.
Sweep down the inside and outside of each leg - spending more time on each
hock and knee as these are problem areas.
COMMON PROBLEMS
Coughs: Drag the LED very slowly down the throat and put it around the
lungs for about 5 minutes.
Ligaments: You need to hold the LED in one place for 4 minutes and move it
to the next area, covering all of the injury.
Founder: Put the LED all around the band for about 1 minute in each spot,
then lift up the foot and place the LED on the frog.
Open Wounds: Clean out wound with Veterinary Wound & Skin Wash. Cover
the LED with a plastic bag and place it directly over the wound for about 2
minutes. Go all around wound. Do not cover the wound with dressing as
wounds heal better with air.
The most important thing is: You can’t do anything wrong.
